Wash and cut freyer in half or pieces, salt and place on broiler under low flame. Turn frequently and baste with margarine and garlic salt until fork goes through chicken and no red juice comes out. Remove and put in large bowl. Boil one quart of water and pour over chicken and stir frequently. Add drippings from broiler and salt to taste in gravy(roux). Leave covered until served.
