1 Tasse | Grits |
4 Tasse | water |
1 Teelöffel | salt |
1/4 x ca. 450 g | butter or margarine |
1 | Roll (6-oz) Kraft garlic cheese |
3 | eggs |
1/2 Tasse | milk |
1 Tasse | sour cream |
1 Tasse | Crushed and buttered cornflakes (optional) |
Cook grits in 4 cups water and 1 teaspoon salt as directed on package. Cool 15 minutes. Melt butter or margarine and 3/4 roll of cheese together and add to grits. Beat eggs and milk. Add sour cream. Add mixture slowly to grits. Pour into a greased 2 quart casserole. Top with remaining cheese that has been grated or cut into small pieces and cornflakes. Bake for 45 minutes at 350°. Yield: 8 servings.
