White sugar (you can use 1 cup of brown for variety)

Blend sugar, salt, cocoa and milk. Boil till the mixture reaches the soft-ball stage, about 10-15 mins. Stir constantly. Take off heat and add pecans, butter, flavoring. Stir vigorously. Dip onto wax paper or buttered foil. Reheat with a little more milk if it gets too crusty.
