1 Tasse | beef broth |
1 Esslöffel | cornstarch |
2 Teelöffel | sugar |
1 Teelöffel | black pepper ground |
3/4 Teelöffel | Crushed fennel seeds (opt) |
2 Esslöffel | soy sauce |
3 Esslöffel | vegetable oil divided |
1 x ca. 450 g | Boneless sirloin steak, cut in thin diagonal slices |
1 1/2 Tasse | Radishes sliced |
1 Tasse | Green onions, (scallions), cut in 1 inch pieces |
In a small bowl thoroughly combine beef broth, cornstarch, sugar, black pepper, fennel and soy sauce; set aside. In a large skillet over high heat, heat 1 tablespoon of the oil until hot. Add 1/3 of the beef; cook and stir for 1 minute. Remove to a plate; set aside. Repeat two more times, using remaining 2 tablespoons of the oil and the beef. Re-stir the cornstarch mixture and pour into skillet; bring to a boil, stirring mix constantly until clear and slightly thickened. Add the radishes, green onions and all of the beef with the juices.
