450 Gramm | Butter |
1 gross | Bottle of Lee & Perrin Worst shire sauce |
1 Tasse | Fine chopped garlic |
In a heavy skillet, put 1/2 lb of butter and chopped garlic, cook on low until garlic is tender, then add the rest of the butter and Worst shire sauce. Cook until all is blended. Makes approximately one quart, and can be divided into small freezer dishes, for freezing till needed. Just heat and serve over steak or what ever meat you wish to use, and doesn't seem anything - so simple, could be so good! This recipe came from the late - "Captain Jesse L. Marks" and his lovely wife - Florence. Capt'n Jesse was master of the Worlds Largest Towboat - the Quad Screw M/V "United States", along with the Quad Screw M/V "Missouri" for Federal Barges Lines.. His chief cook aboard both boats, was Ben Hawkins. And Ben always made this recipe for him and the crew, and Capt'n Jesse would also bring some of this recipe home, in jars to his family when he came off the boat. Many thanks to the late - Capt'n Marks, my hubby ( Old River Bill ) & I, really enjoyed our visit with you and Florence and hearing your stories.
