2 Tasse | Finely crushed pretzels |
1/3 Tasse | sugar |
2/3 Tasse | butter or margarine, melted |
2 Tasse | water boiling |
1 Packung | (8-serving size) Jell-O Brand Strawberry Flavor Gelatin |
1 Tasse | water cold |
1 1/2 Teelöffel | lime peel grated |
1 x ca. 1/2 Liter | Vanilla ice cream softened |
8 x ca. 30 g | Cool Whip Whipped Toppingthawed |
* Or 2 packages (4-serving size) can be substituted for one package (8- serving) size.
Heat oven to 350°F.
Mix crushed pretzels, 1/3 cup sugar and melted butter in 13x9-inch baking pan. Press firmly onto bottom of pan. Bake 10 minutes. Cool.
Stir boiling water into gelatin in large bowl at least 2 minutes until completely dissolved. Stir in cold water and lime peel. Spoon in ice cream, stirring until melted and smooth. Spoon over crust.
Refrigerate 3 hours or until firm. Spread whipped topping evenly over top of dessert. Cut into squares. Garnish as desired. Store leftover squares in refrigerator. Makes 15 to 18 servings.
