Papeete Bay Verandah, Disney's Polynesian Resort

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cream together butter, sugar, vanilla, and salt. Blend in syrup. Add eggs slowly, stirring until well mixed. Fold in nuts. Pour into pie shell. Bake for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 325 and bake an additional 45 minutes, or until center is firm and set.
