6 | Eight-inch corn tortillas; cut julienne strips |
1/2 Teelöffel | Southwest Spice; see * Note |

Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. When hot, add tortilla strips and fry until crisp and golden, about 1 minute. Remove strips from oil with a slotted spoon, drain on paper towels and sprinkle evenly with Southwest Spice. This recipe yields about 2 cups.
