Beat eggs, add sugar and beat until fluffy, add honey and almonds and stir just enough to mix. Sift together, flour, soda and spices, add fruit cut into paper thin strips and mix. Combine the 2 mixtures and refrigerate to chill. Preheat oven to 350 F. Spread mixture 1/4" thick on a buttered cookie sheet and bake 30 minutes. Cool slightly and cut into desired shapes. It sounds like a Lot of cloves, maybe 1 tea spoon would be better than one tablespoon. Also 30 min sounds like a long time to bake.
